Terms and Conditions

1.        Membership Duration

When you join the club you are agreeing to remain a member for a Commitment Period.  For administrative reasons this period covers the rest of the calendar month in which you join (if you join after the first day of the month) and the following month. This Commitment Period is the minimum membership necessary to allow us to recoup our costs of instructors and admin time spent on your membership and to allow us as a private club to commit to the level of investment required in providing equipment and facilities to the standard expected by our members.

If you choose to pay your membership fees monthly your club membership will continue automatically after the Commitment Period.  If you choose to pay your Commitment Period membership in advance your club membership will terminate automatically on expiry of the Commitment Period, unless renewed by you. 

2.        Notice to Terminate

You may terminate your membership of the club by giving at least one complete calendar months notice, so that your membership will end at the end of the complete calendar month after notice was given.  For example if you give notice on the 31st August it will end 30th September, if you give notice on the 5th September it will end 31st October.  You can give notice to terminate at any point during the Commitment Period but this cannot end your membership before the end of the commitment period. All members are responsible for cancelling the direct debit directly with the bank to ensure no further unauthorized payments are taken. The Langrove Health Club will not be responsible for the termination. 

3.        How to Terminate

You must give written notice of termination to the club to terminate your membership via post or email. Cancelling your direct debit instruction for payment of your fees is not sufficient.  Telephone cancellations will not be accepted due to the possibility of disputes.  The notice will be operable from the date the notice is received by the club.  The club reserves the right to require evidence of posting or delivery where it has no record of receipt or the date of any notice appears inconsistent with the date of receipt.

All termination notices will be acknowledged by the club via email and a cancellation number given immediately.  If you do not receive a cancellation number within four days please contact the club. Once membership has been cancelled members are then advised to stop the the instruction with the bank. 

4.        Can I put my membership on hold?

Yes, memberships can be put on hold by giving 7 days notice.  It must be put on hold for a minimum of 1 month.  If you wish to put your membership on hold due to injury etc. during your commitment period you must continue to pay your direct debit and the "on hold" period will be allocated at the end.  For example, you join 1st February, pick up an injury in March and put membership on hold for 1 month, then you continue paying monthly until July, then August will not be charged for.

5.        Security

Members and their guests use all the facilities at their own risk and the management will not be responsible for accidents and injuries unless suffered as a result of the negligence of the Company or its staff.

Except for this exception, the Company will not accept any liability for loss or theft within the complex, including car parking areas.  Please report all accidents to reception, where a first aid box is situated.

6.        Emergencies

In the event of a fire or other emergencies, the staff will carry out set procedures.  Please co-operate with the staff's requests.  Members are requested to familiarise themselves with the FIRE EXITS, which are for emergency use only and not to be used for normal entrance and exit.

7.        Membership Cards

You will be given a membership card on joining.  You must bring your card on each and every visit.  Your photograph will be taken.  This will not appear on the card but will flash onto our computer screens to confirm your identity and membership status.  These cards remain the property of the Langrove and must be returned if you cancel your membership.

The management reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone they believe to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

8.        Facilities

The management reserves the right to close any facilities for repair or redecoration, or to change the opening and closing times according to demand.

9.        Pool Area

The swimming pool, sauna and steam room will be closed half hour before closing time in order for staff to carry out essential services.  In the case of any emergencies there is a panic alarm situated on the wall in the pool area which when activated will alert the staff in the gymnasium area.

Class Booking

All classes must be booked online via our website or mobile app. Classes are bookable up to 7 days in advance. Membership does not guarantee a space in the class. Spaces are filled on a first come first serve basis. 


I understand that an aerobic, strength and flexibility exercise, including the use of equipment, is physically demanding and a potential hazardous activity. I also understand that all fitness activities involve the risk of injury and even death, and hereby state that I am voluntarily participating in these activities, including the use of  equipment and machinery, with full knowledge and acceptance of the dangers involved. I hereby  agree to expressly assume and accept any and all risks of injury and death.

I further acknowledge the recommendation of The Langrove Health & Fitness Club that I obtain a physician's approval if deemed necessary by The Langrove Health & Fitness Club for any participation in the exercise program specified by the above named.

I accept that The Langrove Health & Fitness Club is responsible only for providing the program and coaching I have requested by hiring their services.
